Rosalia
Rosalia Vila also known as Rosalia is an Spanish Flamenco/Pop artist. From her teens, she has been at the edges of classical and pop music. She also is a pioneer in the realms of hip-hop, trap and soul. Pepe Haichuela, a flamenco guitar and well-known musician, has described the sound of the new artist as sharp with sweetness however with a bite. After her 2017 debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned the singer a Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist the follow-up album for 2018 El Mal Querer was a major critical and commercial breakthrough that topped Billboard's Latin Pop Albums chart and ultimately getting the Grammy. The track La Fama featuring the Weeknd came out in 2021. Motomami, her third album, featured songwriting collaborations between Cory Henry and James Blake. The set was released on March 20, 2022 after performances of the song Chicken Teriyaki on Saturday Night Live. Rosalia was the very first Spanish artist to perform in a solo performance on the show. Rosala from Motomami who was awarded an award for the Latin Album of the Year and 3 Latin Grammy Awards in total for Motomami and was the first woman in history to be awarded this award.
